• The hackathon will run from February 5th, 2021 at 4:45 PM to February 6th, 2021 at 4:45 PM.
  • You are not allowed to work on your submission before the start of the hackathon.
  • You are not allowed to resubmit previous works; however, participants can work on ideas that they have thought of before the hackathon.
  • Participants may create projects that have already been done in the past by others (common ideas can be worked on).
  • OMSHacks is limited to high school and university students residing in Canada and the U.S
  • Participants may only work in groups of 1-3 people.
  • Participants will have to pitch their projects live to their judges
  • The pitch may be no longer than 4 minutes and then there will be 2 minutes for questions
  • The pitch can be accompanied by slides, mockups, etc.
  • Participants must also submit the project itself through an appropriate format. There is no requirement for the level of completion required; however, completion is one of the judging criteria.
  • Teams can use libraries, frameworks, or open-source code in their projects. 
  • All required materials must be submitted by the deadline in order to be judged.
  • OMS Toronto reserves the right to display any of the submitted projects on its social media or website.
  • The winners will be determined by a panel of experts and decisions are final.

OMS Toronto reserves the right to disqualify any participants who do not follow the aforementioned rules. Participants can also be disqualified from the hackathon at OMS Toronto’s discretion.
